Grimm has been home for three entire weeks now. Apparently "home" means something different than he thought it did. He was surprised and confused to see where Mom and Dad brought him after boarding school.
Pudge seems to have doubled in size since Grimm has seen him last. Unfortunately, it seems no one told Pudge that, as his still wrestles like a much smaller puppy. Grimm has the cuts and bruises to prove it. Grimm's not really complaining, though. With a yard as large as their new one, he's happy to have someone to sprint around with.
Pudge's body language pretty much sums up everyone's feelings.
Mom, on the other hand, has been a huge disappointment. Grimm was so happy to finally see her again, but he remembers her being much different when he left. She used to walk and train with him nearly every day. Now she sits around all day in a giant shoe, and Grimm only gets out when Dad has time to take him. All he wants is to show off his new leash skills before he forgets them, but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen any time soon.
In the meantime, Grimm tries to focus on enjoying the nearly endless snuggles Mom seems to want. After watching what feels like a jillion episodes of Monica and Chandler dating, Grimm gladly gives up his spot on the couch to Pudge. He needs a break. His little brother can deal with Mom's hugs for a while.
On Monday, Grimm's mom anticipates good news from her podiatrist. She won't be all healed up just yet, but she should be able to ditch the crutches and move around in just her boot. All she needs is a great x-ray at her appointment. Fingers crossed!
The boys have been almost inseparable since Grimm's return, and it's adorable. <3
